Training Courses

As we firmly believe in supporting the sector, all courses are run at other non profit premises, in easy accessible locations. The cost is £125 per delegate; courses run from 9.30 to 4.30 and include all refreshments, lunch and course materials.

We run courses on the following topics:

Public Speaking for beginners
This workshop is aimed at people who as part of their job description have to speak at AGM’s, conferences and public meetings. It is specifically aimed at those who are new to public speaking and are unsure where to start and how to plan for such an event.

An Introduction to fundraising
This course is an ideal introduction to fundraising, it will also appeal to more experienced fundraisers who are looking for fresh ideas and be relevant for managers and trustees who have an overall responsibility for maximising income and want an insight into fundraising frameworks.

In this workshop we will review the basic principles of fundraising, to understand why people give and the related ethical issues. We will focus on the main sources of funding available and discuss the challenges of approaching and fundraising from these sources.

Managing Poor performers
This workshop is aimed at managers who currently supervise staff and need to develop their skills in relation to managing both good and poor performers in the workplace to ensure skilled staff are not lost and less focused staff are motivated and inspired.

The workshop will include the following:
